The Causes of Noise Produced by Industrial Dehumidifiers and How to Reduce Noise

SIAL

Industrial dehumidifiers are equipment used to control air humidity and are widely used in industrial production, warehousing, printing, pharmaceuticals, and other fields. The function of a dehumidifier is to reduce air humidity by removing moisture from the air, thereby avoiding problems such as moisture, mold, and decay.

Industrial dehumidifiers play an important role in industrial production, warehousing, printing, pharmaceuticals, and other fields. By controlling air humidity, the stability of the production process and product quality can be ensured, thereby improving production efficiency and product quality. With the continuous development of technology, industrial dehumidifiers are also constantly being updated and developed, providing more efficient and reliable dehumidification solutions for various industries.

The use of dehumidifiers makes our living environment no longer damp and dark. However, dehumidifiers always emit noise during use, and long-term exposure to noise can have a strong impact on our ears, which can harm our physical health. Below, the editor will analyze why dehumidifiers emit noise during use and how to reduce the noise of dehumidifiers.

Reasons for noise generated by industrial dehumidifiers

1. The noise of the dehumidifier increases, and the first consideration is whether the ground on which the dehumidifier operates is flat, especially for newly installed and moved dehumidifiers. If placed in an unstable place, the noise of the dehumidifier will increase.

2. The increase in noise of the dehumidifier is still an external indication of loose internal parts. Once the parts become loose or come off, the dehumidifier will make a loud noise, and it should be stopped immediately for maintenance.

3. Foreign objects have fallen from the dehumidifier. Foreign objects may come from the air inlet and outlet, especially the air outlet, which is likely to be dust, sand or other small particles from the external environment. These small particles will be sucked in with the air flow and accumulate inside the dehumidifier. Long term accumulation can cause these foreign objects to rub against internal parts of the machine, resulting in noise.

4.When the fan blades of the dehumidifier are deformed or damaged, it will cause damage to the dynamic balance and increase the noise accordingly. If there is collision or friction between various pipelines, the noise of the dehumidifier will also increase. The lack of oil in the fan and abnormal bearings are also the direct reasons for the increased noise of the dehumidifier. Of course, when the compressor malfunctions, it can also cause abnormal noise from the dehumidifier.

How to use industrial dehumidifiers to reduce noise

1. Use of dehumidifier: If the dehumidifier needs to be moved over a long distance or vigorously, it is advisable to leave the body standing for 2-3 hours before connecting to the power supply to avoid damage to the compressor. Before operation, close the doors and windows to prevent damp external air from entering the room and affecting the dehumidification effect. If there is no need, try to reduce the number of doors and windows opening and closing.

2. Location of the dehumidifier: Place the dehumidifier in a well ventilated area to avoid placing it in a dead corner that may cause a short circuit in the airflow and not achieve the desired dehumidification effect. The air outlet of the dehumidifier should face the open area in order to effectively discharge moisture. Secondly, we also need to ensure that there are no obstacles around the dehumidifier to avoid affecting the absorption and removal of moisture. (Also note the position of the suction/discharge side influence relationship)

3. Maintenance of dehumidifiers: It is necessary to regularly clean the filter screen of the dehumidifier. Due to long-term use, a large amount of dust and impurities will accumulate on the filter screen. If not cleaned, these impurities can affect the moisture absorption effect of the dehumidifier and even lead to equipment failure. Therefore, we can regularly remove the filter screen for cleaning to ensure its smoothness and cleanliness. Clean the air filter screen at least once every two weeks. If not in use for a long time, all the water in the water collection tank should be emptied to remove dust from the filter screen. Store it in a well ventilated area that cannot be exposed to sunlight. Never place the dehumidifier on the side or upside down during storage to avoid damaging the compressor.
